Unseen Old Video of England’s Tom Hartley Singing His Own Chant With Fans Arises – WATCH

Tom Hartley sure was the engineer behind England’s revival in the second innings, as he single-handedly lifted the English spirits up with his stellar seven-for.

Yet another brigade that helps keep the English spirits high during their overseas endeavors is none other than acclaimed England’s Barmy Army. And in lieu of Hartley’s exploits yesterday, the fan brigade have stumbled upon a chant for the talented spinner.

An old video of Hartley back resurfaced following England’s historic win, where the English spinner can be seen singing what seems to be a chant devised for Hartley himself by the Lancashire faithful, his birthplace and domestic club.

Hartley is seen enjoying the chant in high spirits at a pub with a glass of beer in his own hand, as he also joins in with the crowd and begins to sing along with them on top of a table.

The wholesome video was shared by a user to the England’s Barmy Army’s X handle, formerly known as Twitter, with a request that they perform the same as a chant for the young spinner from his next outing onwards.

Hartley sure had the English fans spellbound, just like he did with the Indian batters who fell victim to his spin onslaught that ended up scalping seven wickets.

Tom Hartley’s sensational seven-for was the point of difference as England notched a memorable 28-run win for the ages on the fourth day of the first Test in a five-match series.

England, bolstered by Player of the Match Ollie Pope’s mesmerizing 196-run innings dragged themselves back into the game and set India a commendable target of 231 runs.

With more than a day and a half of play remaining, one would have expected India to smoothly waltz into a comfortable win. But, the reality was far from it as England’s spinners wreaked havoc on the Indian batters with an undeniable Hartley, a marvelously tight spell from Joe Root and the experience of Jack Leach all coming together perfectly to scalp all ten wickets themselves within the same day of play, and bowl out the Indians for 202.
