India began their campaign with three wins on the trot in the group stage of the tournament. They beat Bangladesh, Ireland and the USA in Group A. India defeated the USA by a whopping margin of 201 runs to assert their dominance in the competition. The match saw Arshin Kulkarni smash a powerful century and Naman Tiwari scalp four wickets for India. The strong win will now see India face the Kiwis who were placed second in Group D. They will be hoping to continue their dominant run against New Zealand as they pursue another final.

The Mangaung Oval in Bloemfontein will host the Super Six game between India and New Zealand on Tuesday, January 30. The Kiwis are also currently on a good run, winning two out of the three matches they have played in the tournament. They beat Nepal and Afghanistan in their first two games before losing their third game to Pakistan by 10 wickets.
