It has been over a decade since Sachin Tendulkar drew curtains on his international career but the legendary batter still occupies a special place in the heart of every Indian cricket fan. The emotion was felt once again when the “Sachin…Sachin” chant echoed inside a flight to Jammu & Kashmir, having the former cricketer on board.

The moment was recorded by a fellow passenger, who was also present in the cabin. The video surfaced on X (formerly Twitter), with a caption reading, “When the entire flight turns into a stadium with Sachinnn Sachinnn Chants.”

All the passengers and members of the cabin crew were sent into a frenzy after Sachin Tendulkar smilingly came forward to greet them with folded hands. The fans went on to click pictures of the Master Blaster while welcoming him with loud cheers.

Earlier on Tuesday, Tendulkar made his first-ever visit to Kashmir and was enamoured by its scenic beauty. He shared a clip from the family trip, calling India’s northernmost geographic region as the ‘closest to heaven on earth’.

During the visit, he and his family stopped by at a bat manufacturing unit in Charsoo on the Srinagar-Jammu highway and interacted with the workers there.

“We were busy making bats when a vehicle stopped at our gate. We were pleasantly surprised to find the Little Master and his family,” Mohammad Shaheen Parray, owner of MJ Sports, told news agency PTI.

Tendulkar is widely regarded as one of the greatest batters to have played the game and remains cricket’s most prolific run-getter in history. During his storied career, he scored a record 34,327 runs from 664 matches spread across 200 Tests, 463 ODIs and one T20I.
