About Me

Feed Your Love!

If I could sprinkle fairy dust all over the world and everyone would be loved and in love and live happily ever after, I would…

Me singing the Beatles “All you need is love, all you need is love… love is all you need”

I have yet to meet that particular fairy with those supreme magical powers. So I figured that this blog is the next best thing!

This blog is about food and love, and the happy, and beautiful, and sometimes strange, and sometimes awkward place where they meet. This blog is also about travel, because my journey through food and love has always included travel. I love to travel almost as much as I love cooking, and eating…

The idea for this blog came to me about 3 years ago, shortly after I had made dinner for Mr. Big, and shortly there after, all of a sudden decided that he was going to be really, Really, REALLY nice to me. Nicer than he had ever been in the 10 years I had known him. And I thought maybe there is something to that saying “the way to his heart is through his stomach”.

Food is a strange unifying force. It has a powerful way of bringing together people. Probably because of it’s one of our most primitive and essential needs. From there all things are possible, without it all hope is lost.

Love (romantic or not) isn’t as simple as cooking a few fabulous meals. It’s a lot more complicated, more involved. And the vast majority of us women (and men) are still looking for love, and frequently in all the wrong places in all the wrong ways.

It was also Mr Big that pointed out to me during one of our hour long conversations “Why do you keep on doing the same things, expecting different results?” Oh Mr. Big, so wise.

So often I see women, who want to love and who want to be loved, keep on doing the same things expecting different results. IT DOESN’T WORK! If it hasn’t worked for the last 20-30 years, it probably isn’t all of a sudden going to change and produce perfect results. You have to change your ingredients or your recipe or both!

I say that as woman who has dated quite a few men (maybe hundreds) from all sorts of backgrounds and walks of life BEFORE FINDING MY PRINCE CHARMING. But I found him. And I love him, and he loves me. The crazy thing is my perfectly imperfect relationship only came to be after I finally changed my tune and my rules.

So that’s why I started this blog. To tell all of you about my adventures in love, and loss, and travel, and food. In the hopes that you too will find your happy place…

Because life is too short to learn from your mistakes alone. And heaven knows you shouldn’t eat bad food along the way.

FEED YOUR LOVE!
