Legendary Indian batter Sachin Tendulkar paid a visit to the Taj Mahal in Agra on Thursday following the occasion of Valentine’s Day. During his time at the UNESCO World Heritage Site, Tendulkar clicked a picture with his wife Anjali infront of the Taj Mahal. The ivory-white marble mausoleum, which was built by Mughal emperor Shah Jahan in 1632 to honour his wife Mumtaz, is regarded as the symbol of love. Twinning in black ensembles, the husband-wife duo was pictured sporting beaming smiles while looking at each other.

Sachin Tendulkar dropped the adorable couple photo on Instagram along with a heart emoji. The post also accompanied a picture of the beautiful Taj Mahal, situated on the right bank of the river Yamuna. Tendulkar’s post grabbed the eyeballs of many fans, while some people from the Indian cricket fraternity also marked their reactions in the comment section.

One of them was Suresh Raina, who dropped a couple of heart emojis. Ex-Indian all-rounder Irfan Pathan did the same as he expressed his admiration for the Master Blaster. Sachin Tendulkar’s former teammate Sourav Ganguly quipped, “Well done young man.” Sara Tendulkar also found the picture cute as she wished her parents a “belated Valentine’s Day”.

Breaking the news of Sachin Tendulkar’s Taj Mahal visit, the news agency ANI dropped a video on X (formerly Twitter). In the clip, the India great was seen surrounded by security personnel and a lot of visitors, who were keen to click a picture of him. Tendulkar made sure to fulfil their wish as he smilingly waved at the fans.

Sachin Tendulkar was one of the celebrities, who were invited to the consecration of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya last month. He will be seen in the Mumbai Indians dugout in the upcoming season of the Indian Premier League (IPL), slated to begin in March.

There were rumours that Tendulkar had stepped down from his role as the mentor of the Mumbai franchise after it assigned the captaincy to Hardik Pandya, replacing Indian skipper Rohit Sharma. Tendulkar, however, later rubbished the claims. Before retiring from international cricket in 2013, Tendulkar represented India in 664 matches across formats to aggregate a total of 34,357 runs.
