Assembly constituency no.30 Lunglei North is an Assembly seat in the South region and Lunglei district, of the state of Mizoram, which is in the North East region of India (Bharat). Lunglei North Assembly constituency has an estimated Scheduled Caste population of 0.02% and an estimated Scheduled Tribe population of 94.06%, according to the report of the Delimitation Commission of 2008. The estimated literacy level of the district in which this constituency falls in is 88.86%, according the Census of India, 2011.

In the 2023 Mizoram Assembly elections, there were a total of 17,777 eligible electors in the constituency, of which 8,626 were male and 9,151 female and registered voters were of the third gender.

PAST RESULTS

In the 2018 Mizoram Assembly elections, Vanlaltanpuia of MNF won in this seat defeating V Malsawmtluanga of IND by a margin of 395 which was 2.77% of the total votes cast for the seat. MNF had a vote share of 35.26% in 2018 in this seat.

In 2013, P C Lalthanliana of INC emerged victorious in this seat beating Dr K Vanlallawma of MNF by a margin of 870 votes which was 6.65% of the total votes polled in the constituency. INC had a vote share of 47.15% in the seat.

In the 2008 elections, Pc Lalthanliana of INC won this seat beating C Lalrinsanga of MNF by a margin of 705 votes which was 5.82% of the total votes polled in the constituency. MNF had a vote share of 40.55% in the seat.

In the 2018 elections this seat voted in Phase 1 on Wednesday, November 28, 2018 and the results were declared on Tuesday, December 11, 2018. In the 2013 polls this constituency voted in Phase 1 on Wednesday, December 04, 2013 and the results were declared on Sunday, December 08, 2013. In 2008, Lunglei North voted in Phase 1 on Tuesday, December 02, 2008 and the results were declared on Monday, December 08, 2008.

Assembly constituency no.30. Lunglei North comprises of the following areas of Lunglei district in the South region of Mizoram: Wd No 8 Zohnuai, Wd No 9 Serkawn, Wd No 10 Zotlang, Wd No 11 Pukpui in lunglei (Notified Town) and Villages mausen, Haulawng, mualthuam ‘N’, Sekhum, Ramlaitui, Kanghmun ‘S’, Zote ‘S’, Chhipphir, Bualpui ‘V’, lungmawi, Zotuitlang, Hmuntlang, Phaileng ‘S’ and Chengpui in lunglei R D Block; and Villages Pangzawl, Thiltlang, and Rawpui in Hnahthial R D Block.

This constituency covers an approximate area of 605 square kilometers and the geographic coordinates of Lunglei North is: 23°04’59.5″N 92°49’03.4″E.

A total of five Assembly constituencies in the state of Mizoram share borders with Lunglei North constituency, which are: Lunglei West, Serchhip, Hrangturzo, South Tuipui, Lunglei East. This constituency shares an inter-state/international border with no other state.
