The Indian Under-19 team look promising to retain the ICC Men’s U-19 World Cup title this year. They are yet to suffer a defeat in the ongoing tournament, underway in South Africa. India won all of their group league fixtures before registering a dominant 210-run victory over New Zealand in their opening Super Six clash. They are currently sitting at the top of Group 1 with six points, having ensured a place in the knockout stage.
They will look to continue the winning momentum when they take on Nepal in the next World Cup assignment. It will also be India’s last Super Six game, which will be hosted at the Mangaung Oval in Bloemfontein on Friday, February 2.
All eyes will be on India U-19 star Musheer Khan, who slammed his second century of the tournament in the last game against New Zealand. The 18-year-old tops the list of the leading run-getters. In his four appearances, Musheer has racked up 325 runs at an average of over 80. Spinner Saumy Pandey looks to be in scintillating form as well. He has picked up 12 wickets including two four-wicket hauls during the campaign.
