England pacer James Anderson continues to break records as he inches closer to 700 wickets in Test cricket.

England pacer James Anderson has surpassed India legend Anil Kumble in the list of most runs conceded by a bowler in Test history. Before the start of the ongoing third Test between India and England in Rajkot, Kumble, who retired in 2008, was at the top of the list having given 18,355 runs during his 132-Test career.

Anderson, the most prolific fast bowler in Test history, has overtaken Kumble now. At the time of publishing, he had 18,371 runs in his 185th Test.

Muttiah Muralitharan is third on the list with 18180 runs from 133 Test followed by Shane Warne (17995) and Stuart Broad (16719).

Anderson (696*) is the third-highest wicket taker in the history of Test after Muralitharan (800) and Warne (708).
