Assembly constituency no.2 Dampa is an Assembly seat in the North region and Mamit district, of the state of Mizoram, which is in the North East region of India (Bharat). Dampa is part of the 1. Dampa Assembly constituency has an estimated Scheduled Caste population of 0.06% and an estimated Scheduled Tribe population of 69.02%, according to the report of the Delimitation Commission of 2008. PAST RESULTS

In the 2018 Mizoram Assembly elections, Lalrintluanga Sailo of MNF won in this seat defeating Lalrobiaka of INC by a margin of 1,657 which was 11.02% of the total votes cast for the seat. MNF had a vote share of 38.84% in 2018 in this seat.

In 2013, Lalrobiaka of INC emerged victorious in this seat beating Liansuama of MNF by a margin of 1,161 votes which was 8.14% of the total votes polled in the constituency. INC had a vote share of 43.27% in the seat.

In the 2008 elections, Lalrobiaka of INC won this seat beating Lalrintluanga Sailo of MNF by a margin of 680 votes which was 5.59% of the total votes polled in the constituency. MNF had a vote share of 41.12% in the seat.

In the 2013 polls this constituency voted in Phase 1 on Wednesday, December 04, 2013 and the results were declared on Sunday, December 08, 2013. Dampa comprises of the following areas of Mamit district in the North region of Mizoram: Villages W Phaileng, Kawnmawi, N Chhippui, lallen, Saithah, Parvatui, Phuldungsei, Keisalam I, Zopui, W Phulpui, Silsuri, Pukzing, Pukzing Vengthar, Hnahva, Hruiduk, marpara North in West Phaileng R D Block; and Villages Tuahzawl, Rulpuihlim, Chungtlang, Reiek, Ailawng, W lungdar, Khawrihnim, lungphun, N Kanghmun, Bawlte, Bawngthah, Darlung and S Sabual in Reiek R D Block.

This constituency covers an approximate area of 1,293 square kilometers and the geographic coordinates of Dampa is: 23°32’08.9″N 92°29’29.0″E.
