It’s Fashion Week here in Milan, and I felt like I should write something about it. But I’m not a fashionista, after all this is a blog about food and travel and love. So in homage to this electrifying week so crucial to my adopted city,  I’ve decided to write about a restaurant where fashionistas as well as people who like me love beautiful places and good food go to eat, “al fresco“.

al fresco - window

Every time I walk into ‘al fresco’ I think, “Can my house look like this?”.

Al fresco - table looking out

Done in pale wooden tones with large windows that open onto a sumptuous garden, it says easy homey chic.

al fresco - garden

al fresco - blackboard menu

The food like the location is simple yet refined. Beautifully plated quality Italian ingredients with subtle modern or international influences.

Al Fresco - spaghetti

al fresco - chicken

al fresco - bread
